About On Sri Rama Navami, perform special Pujas in Ayodhya and seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram.

Sri Rama Navami is the most sacred and prime celebration of our Sanatana Dharma. On this festival, we celebrate the birth of Sri Rama, the divine incarnation of Maha Vishnu, and his godly qualities, which guide our lives and transform us into complete human beings.

On the divine occasion of Sri Rama Navamai, which falls on the 30th of March this year, Devaseva invites you to participate in the sacred Sita Rama Kalyanotsavam in Bhadrachala Kshetram. On the holy land of Bhadra Giri, located on the banks of Godavari, our Purohits will perform the Kalyanam of the divine couple in your name. The Seva will happen in an Ashram in the Kshetra. They will pray to Lord Ramachandra and Sita Devi to shower their grace and love on you and your family forever and bless you with Sri Rama Raksha.

About Sri Rama Navami and its significance

• Sri Rama Navami is celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Navami every year with great joy and devotion.
• The day marks the incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu in the house of King Dasharatha in Ayodhya.
• The incarnation of Lord Rama is to tread the path of Dharma and lead us in the same direction towards attaining Godhood or Moksha.
• We cherish the divine qualities of Lord Rama on this day and remember the sacred events of Shrimad Valmiki Ramayana, and get inspired towards Dharma.
• Every household and street in the country celebrates the festival with Sita Rama Kalyanam, Abhishekas, Pujas, Vratas and the readings and discourses of Ramayana.
• People offer delicious items, especially Vadapappu and Panakam, to Lord Rama and accept them as Prasadam.

About Bhadrachalam and Sita Rama

• Bhadrachalam is in the Khammam district of Telangana. The temple town is on the banks of River Godavari.
• Lord Sri Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana Swamy, incarnated on this land as per the boon given to King Bhadra, an ardent devotee.
• Bhadra turned himself into the mountain of Bhadra Giri and became the abode of Lord Sri Rama, Sita Devi and Lakshmana forever.
• After many years, in Kaliyuga, the great Rama Bhakta Kancherla Gopanna, also known as Rama Dasu, built a beautiful temple in the 17th century and installed the deities.
• He started the tradition of performing Sita Rama Kalyanam on Sri Rama Navami, which we continue to celebrate annually.
• Participating in or watching Sita Rama Kalyanam on Rama Navami is the most sacred deed, and it eliminates our sins and bad karma.
